Miami Saxophone Quartet Live Review
The latest CD from the Miami Saxophone Quartet features the group live in concert performing their own unique arrangements of classic jazz, pop, and latin numbers. In addition to saxophones, the quartet members display their talents on multiple woodwind instruments and are joined by special guests on piano, bass, drums, and latin percussion in three unique and refreshing settings (clue: not your basic saxopohnes plus rhythm). Gary Lindsay's consummate arranging skills are displayed on six of the seven numbers on this impeccably performed, recorded, and produced CD. A knockout performance with that great live "vibe".
